construction and design

  Our birdhouses are handmade.  They are designed to be left outside year-round and are fully functional.  All are easy to install.  We offer different mounting options such as a built-in bracket to slip over a “4x4” post, (Post not included.  Standard "4x4" post measures 3.5" x 3.5" and can be purchased at any Lowe's, Home Depot, or lumber yard for approximately $12, for an 8' long pressure treated post), a wire to hang from a tree or fence, or a mounting tab for placement on a tree, fence, or side of a structure. All birdhouses are designed with easy cleanouts.

We only use 16oz roofing copper and 32-gauge roofing aluminum on all of our metal tops. The primary construction materials for the body are 3/4" Medium Density Overlay (MDO) or Texture 1-11. MDO is a product designed for outdoor exposure and does not delaminate or separate when exposed to the elements. Texture 1-11 is typically used as siding on houses, sheds, or barns. Some of our smaller houses have cedar roofs.

Each house is individually crafted so the actual birdhouses may vary slightly from that pictured. They make ideal gifts for nature lovers.
